I don't like sleeping.

Okay, when I'm really tired, I LOVE sleeping, but I hate the fact that we need sleep. I'd rather we humans have the ability to stay awake and not be tired. Because there are lots of things that are such a waste of time to do during the day. Like cleaning one's room. Or doing one's homework. Or chores. Or many of the other tedious things that use up precious daytime. And there's so much to do and see both during the day and at night, why would anyone want to sleep? Why are we programmed to need sleep?!

A friend told me that we need sleep because it allows us to store our short-term memory as long-term memory, and therefore if we don't sleep, we won't remember much. Can anyone verify this?

Maybe this dislike of sleep is what has influenced by coffee infatuation, and the desire to stay awake all the time fuels my coffee consumption. Hmm...

I've neglected you o faithful blog. I've been crazy busy...

- annotating stuff on Wikimapia
- making useless things
- café-hopping
- studying French. My prof started instructing us completely in French...oh mon dieu!

I could go on, but this game is complicated enough as it is. Two or more of the aforementioned could be happening at the same time, and frankly, trying to ingest 5 or 6 espresso shots in less than two seconds so that you could ingest another 5 or 6 shots so that you could catch up with what just happened is the best part of the game anyway.

EDIT: two unrelated topics.........

we had this new coffeemachine lying around, and my dad finally decided to set it up and throw out the old one. cool, you say?! NO, NOT COOL. infact, it's borderline horrific. this new coffeemachine is weird, once you put in the coffee, you can't open up the little compartment until the job's done, that is, if once it's running you realize that your coffee will taste like crap, there is no way to prevent it from tasting like crap and the whole batch is ruined!! and this one is black, so you can never really tell if coffee is coming out (dark liquid against dark background) and it looks ugly...you could always make a good cup of coffee in the old one, and it was white....

good thoughts are usually induced by coffee....and LET ME TELL YOU, i've DEFINATELY had some coffee....cafe viennese to be exact, which mr. barrista wouldn't let me have last week, but this week, i insisted. its basically espresso and strong coffee :D....so instead of a latte which consists of espresso and steamed milk, you simply substitute the milk for more coffee. cool, huh!

this past week has been a pretty good week since timmies started "roll up the rim to win" and i wasn't gonna write anything about it until i won something, which every year tends to happen. hasn't happened yet, but cirus gave me his winning rim today:

wednesday morning: i volunteered with my tree hugger friends at a booth giving out free las nubes coffee samples :D that was quite an experience. we set up in front of the tim horton's line up and tried to steer people towards where they were selling the fair trade coffee. any other week, i think we could've made a difference in the way people consume coffee, but because of "roll up the rim to win", we were on the losing side......can't really blame them.. :p

and i just really want to share this: last weekend, i got myself a disco ball!! i've been wanting to get one forever now and finally, i got myself a mini one....its so cute :D

bluuuuuugggghh......not feeling so good...my poor aching body and throbbing head, i feel like all my bones are broken and i didnt even do anything yesterday.......sympathize!!

must kill friends....i suffered for nothing while they are probably still giddy from talking to cute barristas...grrr...

i think i am addicted to blogthings, i musta took just about all their quizzes...some results i get are outrageous, others are somewhat true..and i just LOVE the wacky fortune cookie generator

- i had a disappointing evening...but had fun with my girls (figure it out)

- i OD-ed on caffeine and i'm wired (not on purpose, but i did..)..i dont feel very well..

- i am attempting to salvage whatever is left of the night by keeping my power heels on...there may be hope, they are magical boots, really..
