summer so far...

I usually hate to use capitalist terminology to describe my life and others (like those Economizers, seems like they stopped posting shortly after my post on them), but jee-gosh-darnit, this has been turning out to be one of my most productive summers ever (EVER). I have managed to utilize every week and weekend starting May, and this will be going on until the end of August, when more exciting things occur, which I would oh so love to tell all about, but just not yet...maybe in another month :p But here's a hint, I bought a book and it's got a picture of a wedding on the cover (let's see you figure this one out! :p)...

The book! I'm reading it now and the pictures are so beautiful I can't wait for August to come already!

Anyhoo, I'm really excited for "Superman Returns", I shall wear my Superman T-shirt when I go see it. And this Sunday, my family and I, plus extended family, are going to Niagara Falls, where apparently, they have the Superman logo projected onto the falls  every night from 9pm to 1 am! I hope we stay long enough to see it...

everybody's got that special someone...

You know, that person who is always there for you, although you may not always notice it. The one person in your life that may be constant and unchanging when you're world is in an upheaval. The familiar face in a crowded room of strange people.

Your stalker. Yep.

I am a firm believer that everybody has a stalker, and if you haven't noticed that creepy person following you around, its because you're busy stalking someone else.

I have a close relationship with my stalker, he knows I know he's stalking me, so he doesn't bother to pretend that he isn't. My first encounter with him was when he tried to pick me up at a bookstore where everybody was waiting to pick up their book orders and he was the only one talking in the room and everybody was looking at me. I guess he realized it wasn't going anywhere and settled for being my shadow. I attended his convocation today and was quite impressed. He graduated with a Bachelor of Education and a BA. He'll make a wonderful teacher.

Actually, I went to that convocation ceremony to see my mom receive her BE, and an hour after they called her name, I saw that familiar face on the big screen receiving his diploma, and panicked. I always panic when I see him because who doesn't panic when somebody is watching them? And although he's like a mile away on the stage, I'm pretty sure he looked right into the camera and through the projection on the screen, saw me. And that ladies and gentlemen, is one loyal stalker.

The brightside (always look for the brightside in stalker situations) is I won't be seeing him around campus anymore! I hope.

Happy Birthday Gilary! She has a stalker too.

my man of steel...

I wanted to write a post today, but my eyes sting. They've been open all day, and need some rest (lol, no really, my job is to stare at the computer screen all day while developing carpal tunnel syndrome). But I have to mention, I finally got a Superman t-shirt, featuring another favourite object of mine, rainbows. It has Superman, rescuing Lois, and a rainbow in the background :D. Can't wait till "Superman Returns". Oh yes, and "Nacho Libre"!

thank goodness it's almost the weekend...

Online games are addictive. Playing them is like gambling. If you win, you play again to see if you can score higher, if you lose, you play again to try and win a game or to increase your rating. I am currently addicted to Yahoo Dominos, and before that, Pyramids, Spades, Hearts, Pool, and Bejeweled (this one in particular is the devil's, I'd play for hours and when I'd blink, all I saw was jewels). Dominos is the reason I have relapsed into insomnia, and the reason why I have become so tired and sleepy at work (in addition to the fact that I really could do my job with my eyes closed). But never fear, the Coffee Club is here. Okay, this is really exciting. And wonderful. Euphoric. In each unit or office area (and there are many), they have a mini-kitchen (are you following me?) and in these kitchens, most of the units set up a Coffee Club, where for a toonie a week, you get all-you-can-drink coffee and tea, and any other goodies the Club Coordinator buys with the money. True, some workplaces get this stuff for free, but there's gotta be like a thousand people working in that building, imagine the government using taxpayers money to supply people with coffee(!!!). The toonie ensures the sustainability of the Club and thus, the well-being of the employees.

Plus, our Coffee Club Coordinator says our coffee is the best (ahm ahm!), it's got a secret ingredient, love.

i don't know where to start...

The Cleanup - Part 1 (of a very difficult and extensive process, I guarantee)

I should submit this to the "I Spy" publishers...

This is procrastination at it's finest. I was home all last week with chipmunk cheeks and I could've started de-littering my room, but I decided to leave it until tonight (10:30 pm precisely), when really, I should be getting my beauty sleep and getting some papers in order. Tomorrow I start my summer job at the Ministry of Environment (woho!).

They have enabled smilies! CoolCryEmbarassedFoot in mouthFrownInnocentKissLaughingMoney mouthSealedSmileSurprisedTongue outUndecidedWinkYell Hmmm, they look weird once published.
